Here is a new design for the jungle collection. It belongs to the secondary pattern elements of it.
I know have enough primary designs by now, big scale, rather packed motifs (see previous posts)…
From now on, I should make a few of them before the closure of this collection. We need the airy atmosphere, a breezing pattern scenario. A kind of bouquet pattern with elephant in it
My feeling: The elements still come from my jungle bank images I prepared for this purpose at the beginning of the process, but since the elements are loosely dispatched here we kind of lose the prolific luxuriant atmosphere of the “botanic cathedral” rendered by the first packed motifs. I guess it’s the idea of a collection: lo for complementarity.
I tried to re-visite the “toile de Jouy” lay out with a more numeric style (with sharp lines). It’s a bit trickier then to use the natural elements (tree, rocks, clouds) as visual link in between the scenes as it is done in traditional toile de Jouy. But the idea remains.
